Why We Push Samples First
A photograph of a wig tells you what the photographer wanted you to see. A physical sample tells you the truth: how the hairline was knotted, how the lace disappears against skin, whether the density on the label is the density on the cap, how the wefts are stitched, how the unit behaves after a wash. That is why we encourage every new wholesale buyer to start with a sample order — and why we are comfortable being judged on one. A factory that makes its own product has no reason to fear a sample. A trading company picking from a catalog does.
Your approved sample has a second life after evaluation: it becomes the physical quality benchmark for your bulk run. Our final QC compares production units against the sample you signed off — not against a memory of an email thread. That mechanism is described in detail on the quality control page.
What a Sample Costs
Sample cost depends on what you ask for. A stock-style unit from an existing construction is close to the product's unit economics. A fully custom OEM sample is different: it includes spec engineering, pattern work and hand ventilation to your density map, so it is priced as the small production run it genuinely is. Either way, the number is confirmed in your quotation before you pay — no surprise "setup fees" appearing after you are emotionally committed. How the sample fee is treated when you proceed to bulk (credit, partial credit or standalone) is agreed per project and written into the same quotation, so the commercial path is clear from day one.
Sample Lead Time
Stock-style samples move quickly because the construction already exists on our lines. Custom samples take longer for the right reason: they are being engineered, not picked off a shelf. We confirm your sample timeline in writing in the quotation — the production floor's real date, not a sales-safe estimate. If you are working toward a launch date or a trade show, tell us the deadline up front; we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable and what the critical path looks like. Shipping Your Sample
Samples ship by international express with tracking, so US buyers typically hold the physical product within days of dispatch. Each sample leaves the factory with its spec sheet — cap construction, lace type, density, length, hair grade — so your evaluation is against written numbers, not impressions. Shipping cost is itemized in the quotation. If you want several constructions side by side (say, an HD lace front and a glueless wear-and-go for the same retail line), we batch them into one shipment to keep your evaluation cost down.
From Approved Sample to Bulk Order
The moment you approve a sample, the expensive part of OEM is behind you. Your spec is archived — density maps, cap patterns, lace and hair grades, packaging artwork — and bulk production runs from that locked spec. Repeat orders skip sampling entirely unless you change something.
